چکیده

Biocatalysts have a vital role in all the biological activities. They show maximum influence in all the soil ecological reactions. Agricultural soils were frequently subjected with pesticides to control the pests. To get a better yield of agriculture food, better agriculture soil should be used for cultivation. The study was designed to determine the effect of novaluron pesticide used now a day for the pest control, on phosphatase activity. Soil samples collected from groundnut cultivating fields at Anantapur District, Andhra Pradesh randomly from a depth of 12cms. Air dried and sieved soil samples were taken and a laboratory experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of pesticides at their recommended field rates and higher rates on phosphatase activity in both soil samples after 10, 20, 30 and 40 days exposure under controlled conditions. Lower stimulatory activity is noticed at 10 days interval of time and striking stimulatory activity is noticed at 2.5 kg haˉ', persists for 20 days in both soils. The higher concentration of the novaluron (5.0 10.0 kg haˉ') were toxic to the enzymatic activity. The results of the present study clearly indicate that the field application rates show no effect on enzyme activity for longer period of incubation (40 days). But higher concentration (10 kg haˉ') of pesticide leads to the inhibition of the enzymatic activity.

The efficacy of two selected fungicides i.e., tebuconazole and coppoer hydroxide, was conducted experiments in laboratory and copper hydroxide on the two specific enzymes phosphatase and urease were determined in two different soil samples (red sandy loam and black clay soils) of groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.) from cultivated fields of Anantapuramu District, Andhra Pradesh. The activities of t...

Impact of Fungicides Chlorothalonil and Propiconazole on Microbial Activities in Groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.) Soils

Introduction of agrochemicals (fungicides) into soil may have lasting effects on soil microbial activities and thus affect soil health. In order to determine the changes in microbial activity in a black clay and red sandy loam soils of groundnut (Arachis hypogaea L.) cultivated fields, a case study was conducted with propiconazole and chlorothalonil to evaluate its effects on soil enzymes (cell...

Influence of Insecticides Thiodicarb and Dimethoate on Soil Microbial Activities (Phosphatase) in two Groundnut

In Agricultural practices pesticides are used for crop production and to produce high yield. But indiscriminate and excessive use of pesticides in agriculture leads to environmental pollution and in soil it is not degrading. A pesticide disturbs the activities of soil enzymes and soil micro biota. So we investigated in laboratory conditions that the effect of two insecticides, Thiodicarb (Dimet...

Enzyme activities and arylsulfatase protein content of dust and the soil source: biochemical fingerprints?

Little is known about the potential of enzyme activities, which are sensitive to soil properties and management, for the characterization of dust properties. Enzyme activities may be among the dust properties key to identifying the soil source of dust. We generated dust (27 and 7 microm) under controlled laboratory conditions from agricultural soils (0-5 cm) with history of continuous cotton (G...
